About Women's Museum
 

The Women’s Museum is a new space celebrating the stories, heritage and role of women and girls in Barking and Dagenham and beyond. A platform for exhibitions, learning, events and workshops highlighting the achievements of women, the Women’s Museum is a social space for coming together. An inclusive space for people of all identities, abilities and backgrounds - trans and non-binary inclusive - we welcome everyone.

This new space is led by New Town Culture, the ongoing curatorial project in based in the Culture and Heritage Service in Barking and Dagenham Council supporting artistic and cultural practices in the services and systems of public life. New Town Culture will lead on a programme that builds on deep, robust networks within communities, services and local infrastructure in east London.

Open Thursday, Friday & Saturday 11 - 5pm.

The nearest train station is Barking Station (10 minute walk to the museum) - District & Hammersmith line, London Overground lines and C2C services.
